Finding Better Contact Lenses

About Me

Finding Better Contact Lenses

After I realized that I was living with terrible vision, I started looking into ways to see better each and every day. I met with a great eye doctor, and he talked with me about how to live with poor vision. He suggested trying contact lenses because you can't feel them, and they offer incredible vision correction. I was a little nervous, but I went with it, and I am so happy that I did. I actually love contact lenses so much that I created an entire website completely dedicated to finding better contact lenses. Check it out to learn more about vision correction.

Having Problems Seeing? You Might Need Eyeglasses

If you've never worn eyeglasses before, you may not notice some of the signs that you need eyeglasses. As your vision begins to fade or worsen, you probably make adjustments to be able to see, so you aren't even aware that you need eyeglasses. If you're having some problems seeing, this is usually a key factor that you need eyeglasses, but there are some other signs as well. Read on for some signs that could signal a need for eyeglasses.

Sitting In Front Of A Screen Often

If you're sitting in front of a computer screen or other type of screen often, you may need to wear glasses. Sometimes computer glasses (much like reading glasses) will help you to see better and help prevent digital eye strain so you can see the screen better without squinting or sitting too closely. Talk to your optometrist about using computer glasses to help keep your vision in top shape even with staring at a computer screen all day.

More And More Headaches

If you're noticing that you're getting headaches more frequently, it could be a sign of worsening vision and a need for eyeglasses. Sure, everyone gets a headache from time to time, but if you're getting them often (almost daily) and especially after staring at a computer screen or struggling to see the chalkboard at school, it could be a sign that you need glasses. Those headaches are caused by eye strain.

Neck Or Shoulder Pain

Pain in the neck and shoulders could be from that workout you did the day before, but it could also be from straining to see. If you're pushing your body forward in an effort to see things, you could be straining your neck or shoulders as well. You may notice this pain along with the headaches mentioned above.

Squinting To See

If you're squinting more often in an effort to see things that you would normally see with ease, it may be time for eyeglasses. You may not notice that you've been squinting, so start paying attention to what you're doing in order to see. If you're squinting to see objects that are relatively close to you, it's time for eyeglasses.

Inability To See At Night

If you notice that you can't see at night or at dusk very well, it could be time for eyeglasses. You may have astigmatism or some other type of eye issue. Get to your eye doctor right away for an eye exam to see what may be going on with your vision.

If you're having some issues seeing, or notice any of the other signs above, it's time to get to your optometrist's office for an eye appointment and exam. It may be time for eyeglasses. For more information, contact a company like Wolcott Optical Service LC.
